Hands holding crystal clock

There are so many challenges when you are growing your business whether you are just starting out or have a more established business. Managing your time can be one of the hardest things to master.

In my case, I am an experienced real estate investor. Wholesaling is my specialty. I only found this path after “trying out” several other strategies. And, I am most definitely a life long learner. I love learning! In fact, the chance to learn something new is actually one of the things that causes me to lose my focus on a daily basis.

I will be working on something like an article for my blog, and my mind will just wander over to the newest training I want to listen to over at The Diva Money Club or some other online “place of knowledge”. I’m sorry; I know it’s a fault, but I just can’t help myself. There probably should be a 12 step program for folks like us.

So what’s a person to do? Well for one thing, I am going to declare (out loud) that I am going to change this bad habit. I am going to commit to time blocking the entire morning or more accurately the first 5 hours each day. I will look at houses and keep my other appointments in the afternoon. Yes, I have done this before with success, but I keep falling off the wagon. I also have the focus booster free online timer on my desktop. So I will probably use that too.

If anyone has any other brilliant suggestions for me, just send them my way.

If this doesn’t work, I may need to be chained to my desk and lose my online privileges as a punishment.

PS. I just did it again! I jumped online to post this article on my blog. In the process I saw an email notifying me of a new blog post by my good friend Shae Bynes. Yes I did … I stopped in the middle of what I was doing and read it.

I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to do it.
