I read a great post today from JP Moses from over at the REI tips blog and I wanted to pass it along. This information was new to me, and I’m sure it will be new to most of my fellow real estate investors. By the way JP, I love that title!
As JP points out, it is almost certain that once you have that “hot property” for sale, folks will mosey on over to Zillow at some point to take a look at the value they have placed on the house. And what they are likely to find, are values that are dead wrong! Another thing they may find are either no pictures of the house or pictures that are actually of another house.
Did you know that you can edit that information? This feature is especially helpful to real estate investors. To see how this works, sign into your Zillow account and pull up your personal home or another home that you own. See if the information is correct and complete. If not, then you can simply click on the edit button and make the changes that are needed. You can add features, upload pictures and make any other changes that will make your property a stand out. And, that’s all there is to it.
By the way, you will have to “promise” Zilllow that you are the actual owner of the house before it will allow you to make the changes.
