As everyone knows, I love direct mail when it comes to marketing to motivated sellers. I use most of the other types of lead generation types as well, but direct mail has never let me down. It has always been a big part of my business.
There is no doubt that response rates go down if you mail to close to the holidays in December. I usually send out a direct mail campaign at the very beginning of the month, and then I hold off mailing again until about the middle of January. This typically brings me a good response from my direct mail campaigns.
What the heck happened?
This year was different. I got a terrible response in from my January mailing!
