Direct mail marketing is not an exact science, but there are some tried and true tips and best practices for building direct mail campaigns that consistently get results. In this episode, I want to focus on two things. How to build a tight, niche-specific list, and the actual direct mail campaigns. I also have some additional resources below.

Actually, I didn’t even know that direct mail was still a thing.
And, I’d be curious. Are there any lessons from direct mailing that can be applied to email campaigns? For example, would you have to send five emails before you get a really good conversion?
Hi James – Direct mail marketing is still very much a big thing. It is the only way to consistently generate leads from off-market sellers. Direct mail was always my #1 source of off-market leads. And in my opinion, those are the best leads on the planet especially probates.
Yes there are. It’s the same idea. You need to warm up your email list before selling them. As a general rule, it’s the 80/20 principle. 80% information and content and 20% selling (at most). I think the most important thing is consistency. Your list should hear from you at least once a week. It’s also best if that is the same day of the week.
