Marketing and Branding

I was in Chicago recently for an event called, “Building an Empire”.  While I was there I had the pleasure of sitting down for an interview with the host of this event, my friend Andrew Holmes.  Andrew is one of the leading real estate experts and educators in the country. He is also the founder of Chicago REIA which is one of the largest REIA’s in the country.

What did we talk about? Marketing and branding (of course).  In the process, we ended up with what I believe is a pretty comprehensive real estate guide to marketing and branding through our shared experiences.

 

Why Should Investors Care About Branding?

The reason is simple. It makes all your marketing work better.

Remember that marketing is how you get leads…branding is why they choose YOU.

Think about that for a minute. Your brand is ultimately one of the reasons a motivated seller will choose you over your competition.  Creating a memorable brand really does make all your marketing work better.  It also makes your marketing dollars go further.  When you're spending money marketing to sellers whether that is with direct mail or through other paid marketing methods, your having a strong brand kicks your results up a notch.

In this show you’ll also learn about some free and low-cost strategies to get you started.

 

Do You Have a Website?

I hope the answer is yes.  If it isn’t, I’m going to tell you why you must have a website. Not only is it your online business card, it builds credibility and it can also be a lead generation machine. Your website URL should be on all your marketing pieces.

 

Today's Marketing Tip

When it comes to marketing and branding, you either have to spend your time or your money. What that means is, if you don't have a lot of cash to spend on marketing you can do things that don't cost anything like:

  • Driving for dollars
  • Cold calling
  • Networking
  • Content marketing
  • Social media marketing

If you are a person that has some money they can spend on marketing but little time, then you might invest in some of these:

  • Direct mail
  • Facebook Ads
  • Websites
  • Hiring a virtual assistant
  • Other types of advertising
